Kathie Lee Gifford co-hosted the fourth hour alongside Hoda Kotb from 2008 until April 5th, 2019. Entertainment Weekly has referred to the time of Gifford and Kotb as scheduled television, and USA Today has dubbed TODAY's Happy Hour. In 2014 Gifford penned the critically acclaimed TODAY the Musical featuring the host and cast on the show. Every month she had written an original song for the cult show Everyone Has a Story. She was elected to the Broadcast & Cable Hall of Fame, in the year 2015. Gifford spent 15 years as a host of Live with Regis & Kathie and was awarded 11 Emmys.
